Huawei Watch GT Officially Released with LightOS

Huawei finally launched its latest generation smartwatch called Huawei Watch GT. This clothing tool was announced together with the Huawei Mate 20 Series smartphone at the event held yesterday (10/16) in London.

Huawei Watch GT does not really come as a "replacement" for Huawei Watch 2 as has been predicted by many people, but focuses on fitness tracking features and user health. One interesting thing about this smartwatch is that Huawei Watch GT does not run the WearOS operating system like most other smartwatches on the market, but runs the LightOS operating system developed by Huawei. You need to know, Huawei Watch GT is the first smart watch that displays the LightOS operating system.

Huawei Watch GT comes with a classic design and is made of 316L stainless steel casing with elegant ceramic bezel. Huawei Watch GT features a 1.39 inch OLED screen with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. The performance of Huawei Watch GT is supported by the Cortex-M4 chipset (with the support of power saving features) and high-performance processors. Thus, this device has a very durable battery life. Huawei said that the batteries at Huawei Watch GT can last up to 30 days if you only receive notifications (do not activate heart rate tracking or GPS), and 22 hours if you use GPS continuously and activate the heart rate feature. This smartwatch is also equipped with 5ATM anti-water feature.

Heart rate sensor on Huawei Watch GT is embedded under the smartwatch, using 6 LEDs. This sensor is supported by Huawei's Truseen 3.0 technology which promises more accurate performance, is efficient in reading your heart rate.

Smartwatch is also equipped with GPS that can be used to track your daily activities and sports training with the Huawei’s Health Assistant application. Other features include a built-in altimeter and step tracking features while running and sleep quality tracking features.

Unfortunately, so far Huawei has not released the price of Huawei Watch GT tag, including the availability of this smartwatch on the international market.
