Cheap Smartphone Gaming Honor Play Officially Released, The Price?

A few months ago, Huawei's sub brand, Honor, had launched its newest generation mobile phone game called Honor Play. Then, the mobile phone was gradually launched in several countries in Asia. Well, today at IFA 2018 in Berlin, Honor officially launched Honor Play for the global market.

Honor Play comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD screen that displays a screen with a notch design, and a screen resolution of 2.340 x 1,080 pixels. The screen has a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio, and displays 85% of NTSC colors, and offers a screen-to-body ratio of 89%.

On the performance side, this mobile phone is supported by the Kirin 970 octa core processor which comes with a special NPU to support artificial intelligence technology (AI) and MP12 Mali-G72 graphics processor.

This phone comes in two variants - one with 4GB RAM while the other packs 6GB RAM. However, Honor only launched the 4GB RAM model globally, which packs 64GB of internal storage. If memory storage is not enough, the Honor Play is equipped with a microSD card slot, which allows users to expand storage capacity up to 256GB.

The Honor Play is equipped with a dual main camera, which consists of a primary 16 megapixel f / 2.2 sensor that is paired with a 2 megapixel secondary camera sensor with an f / 2.4 aperture with support for AI shooting and AR gesture. On the front side, this device is equipped with a front camera sensor with 16-megapixel f / 2.0 aperture resolution.

Other features include a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear panel. The Face Unlock feature on mobile phones using 3D face recognition with artificial intelligence claimed by Honor will greatly help users authenticate, and this feature can work and adapt very well to various lighting and facial changes, and has a high degree of accuracy.

Born as a mobile gaming, of course Honor Play prioritizes specifications that support gaming activities. This phone is equipped with GPU Turbo technology, which is claimed by Honor to significantly improve GPU performance by increasing graphics processing efficiency by 60% and reducing power consumption by 30%. In addition, the Honor Play is equipped with a variety of 4D gaming experiences, and can detect a number of game scenes including shots, explosions and earthquakes.

This mobile also comes with a game mode that locks the navigation keys. This phone is also rumored to have special films on the screen to reduce reflection and improve your experience while playing games under the light.

The mobile running the Android Oreo operating system displays a custom EMUI 8.1 interface, and is equipped with a 3.750mAh power capacity battery and super fast charging feature.

There are several connectivity options on this device including 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C. There are also network optimizations in the game that promise unlimited switching from Wi-Fi to cellular data to smooth your gaming experience.

Honor Play comes in the colors of Midnight Black, Navy Blue, and Ultra Violet and is priced at 329 Euros (around USD $ 380 or Rp. 5.3 million). As for the Player Edition Black and Red Player Edition color variants, priced at 349 Euros (equivalent to Rp. 6.1 million).
