Advancing Sales, Xiaomi Prepare More One Android Smartphone

Currently, most manufacturers customize the Android operating system that runs into their smartphones. Some OEMs such as Xiaomi, Huawei, Meizu and OnePlus are all developing custom OS such as MIUI, EMUI, Flyme OS and Oxygen OS. However, specifically for Xiaomi who has a remarkable achievement in the global market, surely it should make some adjustments to its flagship smartphone being sold to global markets, such as replacing MIUI with a plain Android operating system.

In a question and answer session by media in India, Xiaomi's CEO, Lei Jun stated that his company will launch more Android One smartphones in the future. The next-generation Xiaomi smartphone line will be equipped with a pure Android system. Redmi series which has been a mainstay of the company reportedly will also carry Android One.

OEMs from China typically develop custom Android systems by removing all crammed Google services and using Android code for free, without having to sign an agreement with Google. Of course, everyone can also disassemble their own app store. Moreover, these benefits and revenues do not need to be shared with Google. But if OEM smartphones want to advance their business in the global market, they inevitably have to comply with the provisions of Google and run a pure Android system on smartphones they sell on the international market.
